Who Are Lunala and Solgaleo in Pokeman Go?

Lunala and Solgaleo are Legendary Pokémon from the Alola region featured in the seventh generation of Pokemon games. Lunala is a Psychic/Ghost-type Pokémon, and Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel-type Pokémon. The two are also known as the mascots of Pokemon Sun and Moon, respectively.

Lunala has Confusion and Air Slash as Quick moves and Shadow Ball, Psychic, Moon Blast, and Futuresight as Charge Moves.

On the other hand, Solgaleo has  Zen Headbutt and Fire Spin as Quick moves and Iron Head, Solar Beam, Psychic Fang, and Flamethrower as Charge Moves.

Both come with 254 Base Stamina, 255 Base Attack, 4042  Max CP at level 40, and 4570 Max CP at Level 50.

You need to complete enough tasks in ‘A Cosmic Companion’ Special Research to be eligible for getting Lunala and Solgaleo. There are 12 tasks, and half offer Cosmog Candies as a reward when completed. Since these two legendary Pokemon can’t be found in the Wild, you have to play the game and complete research tasks to get them. Also, remember you will not be able to get both Lunala and Solgaleo. You have to choose one of them.

  • To evolve Cosmoem to Solgaleo, give 100 Cosmog Candies to Cosmoem during the game’s daytime.

Once you have completed enough tasks in the ‘A Cosmic Companion’ Special Research, you will be rewarded with 100 Cosmog Candies. You can use these candies to evolve Cosmoem into Lunala or Solgaleo.
