Cities Skylines: Snowfall finally has a release date: February 18th.
This newest expansion to theย Cities universe is adding aย chilling amount of content… Sorry.
With thisย latestย Cities DLC, players will now have to contend with biting winds and cumbersome snowdrifts. ย No longer can a burgeoning city-planner foresee possible traffic jams, and unreasonable commute times, without taking on the unknown element of frozen water to destroy your perfectly planned roads.
Paradox Interactive has stated, ”ย Cities: Skylines, the award-winning city-building game from Colossal Order, will receive a flurry of new weather-related features in the ‘Snowfall’ expansion. The new content will release this month on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs, and will be available from digital retailers everywhere for $12.99″. ย Also, Paradox and Colossal Order are in the business of caring so much about their games and community that they release a plethora of free patch updates with each DLC; e.g. dynamic weather, chirpy updates, and aesthetic changes.
It’s difficult to gauge how exactly this will change the core mechanics of the city-building game — with a majority of the new mechanics focusing on infrastructure and maintenance of your roads. ย Most of the new features inย Cities: Skylinesย will add subtle mechanical changes to an already complex game. I can’t wait.
