This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information.

With the Hitman Beta launch, only a few days away your chance to take part of it is slowly slipping past your fingers since the only way to join is to pre-order the game. The game was originally scheduled for December 2015 release date but was pushed back to March to give the development team a bit more time to make sure the game didn’t disappoint fans.

The approach of the Hitman Beta has grassed us with a trailer for what we will see once we have the beta in our grasp. The gameplay seems very familiar to what we’ve come to expect from a Hitman game (honestly, it was a bit underwhelming). I’m sure there will be some surprises once I take control of Agent 47 but until that time comes I’ll keep my expectations low.

This new Hitman game seems to be taking the route of Hitman: Bloodmoney as opposed to the recent Hitman: Absolution which means we’re in for a much more sandbox world as opposed to the linear structure of Absolution.

Do you think the beta is worth the pre-order or is it absolutely necessary to play the game as soon as possible? With pre-order bonuses seen left and right it does sometimes bother me that the only way to get access to certain content to give that little bit amount of money to a retailer to ensure them I’m buying a copy. For the beta, it makes a lot more sense to me to make it available for free without the need any pre-orders in order to be able to properly measure the fan response. Will I pre-order Hitman simply to get access to the beta? Maybe, but I’ll be canceling the reservation after I’ve had my fun simply out of principle and then decide in December if want to take the time to play through Hitman.

Luis is a generally great person to be around with unfortunately with his sense of humor you never know when he's being serious. He plays enough video games to consider himself more than a novice and possibly watches too much tv.
