Assassin's Creed

There seemed to always be a sudden realization that another Assassin’s Creed game is coming out. Every. Single. Year… But not this year! In a fairly, recent statement, Ubisoft took the initiative to address the fans of the series by dashing into detail about the Assassin’s Creed movie, and the video game release date being pushed back.

The Ubisoft team explained the delayed date of the new title as, ” stepping back and re-examining the Assassin’s Creed franchise.” Apparently, Ubisoft realized the terrible fate Unity had on fans of the series and were ready to correct their mistakes. An error of failure which fans of the series took to heart but Ubisoft blog post made sure to reassure themselves.

[su_quote cite=”Ubisoft” url=”https://blog.ubi.com/a-message-from-the-assassins-creed-team/”]We’re taking this year to evolve the game mechanics and to make sure we’re delivering on the promise of Assassin’s Creed offering unique and memorable gameplay experiences that make history everyone’s playground.[/su_quote]

To further confirm this news, IGN intercepted a Q&A call with CEO Yves Guillemot and he even told the site about Assassin’s Creed being released sometime next year. Calling itself “Project Empire” (Kotaku), the new Assassin’s Creed will take place in Egypt. What goes on in Egypt and who the lead protagonist will be is unknown. With Syndicate released late, last year and well praised, Ubisoft seemed to want to keep the flow of marvelous reviews– unlike Unity.
