Do you want to know how to get Basaltic Clay in Final Fantasy XIV? Final Fantasy XIV is an MMORPG developed by Square Enix and features various crafting materials available to players. Basaltic Clay is one of these materials, and it is tough to acquire. This guide will tell you how to get  Basaltic Clay in Final Fantasy XIV.

What is Basaltic Clay in Final Fantasy XIV?

If you’re looking for a way to build your gingerbread house masterpiece, look no further than Basaltic Clay! Not just any clay will do – this mineral-rich black Clay found in the depths of the sea will make your creation better than ever. But beware – its density means that it has a level 1 requirement and needs an item level of 560.

When you get your hands on basaltic clay, it is stackable up to 999 pieces. Which should provide plenty for all little creations! With the recent release of patch 6.1, this reagent is now banned from trading on the open market. It leaves players with their only option of seeking it through other means.

Basaltic Clay in Final Fantasy

You can get Basaltic Clay in Final Fantasy XIV through Voyages from Subaquatic Deployment Sectors of  Crow’s Drop and The Beak in Sirensong Sea. You can enable these voyages through free company houses.

The Voyage departing at Crow’s Drop has a sector location of G, a required rank of 95, a two-star difficulty level, and yields 2,820,919 experience points upon completion. A three-star voyage can be found at the Beak with Sector L as the launch point, requiring a rank 99 character to access. Completion rewards 3,981,960 experience points.

Crow’s Drop can get five to eight Basaltic Clay, while The Beak may bring around three as rewards. Also, it would be best if you remembered you have to upgrade your Subaquatic Deployment Sectors for you to be able to access Crow’s Drop and The Beak.

This is the only way to get Basaltic Clay. So, you may find this method a little long and time-consuming. However, it is worth the effort since this material can be used for some of the best crafting recipes in the game.
