You can’t skip on the 3.4 newly added territory. This guide shares how to unlock The City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact.

The one-time Phantom Realm is a strange type of dungeon. Instead of being rewarded with an artifact or a talent book with random stats, you get both extra gems and pestilence. However, these rewards are small, so capturing territories like Wraith City to collect resources is essential.

How to Unlock the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact

This new territory appeared in version 3.4 of Exquisite Night Chimes and requires additional questing. This guide helps you find and unlock the ‘City of the Deceased’ domain.
This domain follows the trend imposed by Sumeru in the last patch, that many things are hidden underground.

How to Unlock the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact

To unlock the City of the Deceased domain in Genshin Impact, you should:

  1. Go to Setek Venbotsu’s hideout
  2. Follow the road and go through the rightmost tunnel. This is where Seelie is waiting for you if you still need to follow him.
  3. Follow Seelie until you spot a hole in the ground, which is the only way to get there.
  4. Go through the tunnel until you will see a wall of vines on the left and several stone puzzles around the room that has opened up. You can ignore these puzzles. Good job, you’re halfway through unlocking the City of the Deceased Domain.
  5. Keep walking, and you will reach the other side of the tunnel. There is again a vine wall on your left (which you can open with a dendro pole), but jump down through the hole on your right.
  6. You will be greeted by several slugs and a few consecrated beasts. Defeat the monsters and activate the anemopilar, creating a flow of wind. If you use the wind flow to reach the top floor of the tunnel, you will finally find the area buried in the sand.

All that’s left is to activate the four torches at the entrance and manipulate the dice to open the City of the Deceased.

The City of the Deceased in Genshin Impact is easy to get through. Just follow the arrows. If your team has the recommended elements of Anemo and Dendro, you will be able to capture them without any problem.

Genshin Impact is available on Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5.
