British actor Julian Sands is best remembered for his part in the 1985 drama A Room With a View. He also appeared in the 1989 horror film Warlock. Unfortunately, he was reported missing on Friday, January 13, at around 7:30 p.m. Before going missing, actor Julian had been hiking in the Baldy Bowl hiking region, about 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles. 

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department representative shared details about the search for the missing actor Julian Sands. The rep stated that shortly after the 65-year-old actor was reported missing, ground workers arrived and started scouring the area. However, after around 24 hours of searching, parties had to be dispersed owing to avalanche dangers and path conditions. 

Authorities have kept up with their sporadic helicopter and drone searches. But it has been over four days since a search party was sent out. Officials have advised potential hikers to avoid the area, though the Sheriff’s Department hopes to start a ground operation once the weather improves. Actor Julian Sands is known to be an enthusiastic mountaineer, but there is more about him. Keep reading to know five more things about the missing actor Julian Sands.

Julian Is A Veteran Actor

As many already know, Julian is an actor. He gained fame in the 1980s and 1990s. His work on the movies Arachnophobia, Ocean’s Thirteen, A Room with a View, and others are some of his most well-known accomplishments. He also shared the screen with some of the most well-known actors in the business, including John Goodman and Helena Bonham Carter from The Big Lebowski and Fight Club, respectively. The British-born actor has over 150 credits listed on his IMDb page. He was honored with a Special Jury Prize for The Maiden and the Princess at the 2012 International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration, and Equality.

Women Inspired Missing Actor Julian Sands 

Actor Julian Sands is from the United States. He was born in 1958 in the town of Otley, United Kingdom. He grew up with his four brothers and had his early education in an all-boys boarding school. In an interview with Stony Brook University conducted in 2018, Julian discussed his formative years and shared some of his most memorable experiences. When Julian was asked how college affected his perspective on the world, he revealed it was the woman in his life. He noted that they had an energy that inspired him.

His Mentors From Theater School Inspired Him

In addition to the women who inspired him, Julian also thanked his mentors from theater school for being a huge source of inspiration. Julian said that one of his high school instructors “fired up” his imagination. Julian’s reference letter for acting school was written by the same teacher, for whom he expressed gratitude. Julian also drew inspiration from director Mike Figgis, a role model in his field. He has collaborated with him many times. One of the noteworthy films Mike directed is Leaving Las Vegas. 

Actor Julian Sands Is Married To Evgenia Citkowitz

Although the British actor has been married before, his relationship with journalist Evgenia Citkowitz has lasted the longest. The pair have been together since 1990. Evgenia is a journalist and writer. Her two books are the 2018 novel The Shades and the 2010 book Ether. Julian first married Sarah Sands in 1984, and they were married from 1984 to 1987.

Julian Is A Proud Dad Of Three Kids

The actor has kids from both of his marriages. He welcomed his 37-year-old son Henry Morley Sands with Sarah and later welcomed two additional children with Evgenia. His kids with Evgenia include; 23-year-old Imogen Morley Sands and Natalya Morley Sands, 26.

The family of the missing actor has been in a panic since he was confirmed missing. One can only hope that he is found as soon as possible and alive.
