Fans of 90 Day Fiancé have labeled Big Ed as the Tell-All villain. It is relatively common to see reality TV series fans lose interest in a character over time. In some instances, fans even begin to dislike a particular character they once adored. However, 90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed’s fallout with fans is arguably one of the most remarkable falls from grace in recent TV show history.
When Big Ed first appeared on the show, fans rooted for him as he nervously made the trip to the Philippines to meet single mom Rosemarie Vega on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. Even though there were mild signs of his bad behavior, fans have still been taken aback by his total implosion while dating American actress Liz Woods.
Big Ed and Liz began dating while appearing on season 1 of 90 Day: The Single Life, and they have been together for about two years. However, he has periodically broken up with the 30-year-old actress nearly a dozen times during their stormy relationship. During these two years, several factors have culminated in making Big Ed one of the most disliked personalities of the franchise, and chief amongst them is his narcissistic and rude behavior toward Liz.
The 57-year-old reality TV star was at his negative best during the recent 90 Day: Happily Ever After Tell-All, where he blamed Liz for all of their issues. Even when he got caught in a lie about being in communication with Rose, Big Ed still found a way to twist the narrative and blame Liz. Liz’s back was up against a brick wall until other “90 Day Fiancé” cast members sided with her and called out Big Ed for trying to gaslight Liz.
90 Day Fiancé Stars Called Out Big Ed
Even though other 90 Day Fiancé cast members called out Big Ed for his apparent gaslighting of Liz, he remained defiant and continued to claim he was right against every other person. Strangely enough, he even proceeded to accuse Liz of acting for the cameras when she became upset.
90 Day Fiancé fans felt frustrated and irritated by Big Ed’s conduct during the Tell-All and took to Reddit to express their displeasure. Most of the commenters were glad that Big Ed’s co-stars called him out for his bad behavior, although they all agreed that it would not make much of an impact on him. While describing Big Ed’s personality, a particular user wrote:
“Ed is on some kind of fantasy ego trip that he is this hot, desirable man.”
Meanwhile, other users highlighted Big Ed’s stubbornness and unwillingness to listen to any kind of correction. They also fumed about how he presented himself as knowing nearly every topic.
Fans Labeled Big Ed As the Worst Cast Member
Big Ed’s behavior during the Tell-All has become the primary talking point for most of the series’ ardent viewers. Most of them have especially taken exception to how he treats women, which was on full display as he engaged Liz at the Tell-All. While reacting to a thread on Reddit, many of the viewers slammed Big Ed’s behavior and named him as one of the worst cast members in the franchise.
Some fans threw caution to the wind as they tore into Big Ed’s personal life — mentioning his strained relationship with his daughter. A section of viewers took their dislike for Big Ed to another level by revealing they would quit watching the show because of him. One of the many comments read:
“They need to let Ed go. He makes me NOT want to watch 90 Day because of what a disgusting human he is toward women.”
Women’s rights have become a big issue globally, and Big Ed is currently on the wrong side of history and worse — he may yet pay dearly for it if he does not shape up and producers decide to listen to the outcry from fans.
