Destiny 2 is filled with different types of weapons. Each of them has a unique attribute which makes it a little bit hard to select a weapon. Riptide is one of the best in Destiny 2, and here is how to get it in the game.

How to Get Riptide in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is a rich game. Whether it’s weapons, quests, or skills, there are tons of things you can use and choose from to make a deadly build for yourself. Most weapons in Destiny 2 are designed in such a way to suit a certain type of play style.

Still, there are weapons that work for most of the builds, especially if really aren’t into searching and picking precise items and weapons for your build. Riptide is that kind of weapon.

Riptide is a Fusion Rifle that is quick, swift, and also quite deadly. This is one of the best weapons you can use in the PvE section of the game, and it also does an OK job in PvP as well.

Even though this is a weapon mostly used for the PvE section of Destiny 2, to get Riptide you have to play some PvP matches. Or to be exact, play some matches in Crucible.

Bear in mind that like most items in Destiny 2, Riptide is also a random weapon that you have to grind if you really want to get it. Still, you will have a higher chance of getting this weapon if you equip a Prosperity Ghost Mod.

Riptide is also available through the Crucible Vendor, Lord Shaxx through decoding. But you will need one Crucible Gear Legendary Engram to encode and also it will come with randomized perks.

After you got the Riptide, it is time to combine two perks to make it even more powerful. If you prefer to use it for the PvP section of the game, it is best to go with Perpetual Motion and Snapshot Sights. As for the PvE section, Field Prep with Vorpal Weapon is a decent combination.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
