At the very beginning of Hogwarts Legacy, you will be taught the Protego and Stupefy spells. And for many players, it may not be entirely clear how to use these dual skills. Protego is a defensive spell you will use for most of the game. It creates a magical bubble around you that protects you from any damage. But this only applies to blocked yellow attacks. From red attacks, you still have to dodge.

Stupefy can stun an enemy for a few seconds. And while the enemy is stunned, you can damage them more. However, using Stupefy in Hogwarts Legacy is a little tricky. Think of it as a defensive follow-up.

You can’t cast Stupefy with just the push of a button like Protego. Instead, you should use Protego right before the hit and hold down the button for a bit. This way, you can block all damage and cast Stupefy into the targeted enemy to stun them for a few seconds. And it’s worth noting that you can use Stupefy in Hogwarts Legacy against any marked enemy, even if they haven’t just attacked you. But you can only stun one enemy with this spell.

That’s all you need to know about how to use Stupefy in Hogwarts Legacy. It is a useful spell that will help you fight against multiple enemies and can give you a few seconds of respite to use potions.
