Want to know how to get food in Sons of the Forest? Sons of the Forest is the latest horror survival video game and the sequel to 2014 Forest.

You assume the role of a player stranded on a desert island inhabited by mutant creatures and cannibals, and your task is to search for a missing billionaire.

Since it is a survival game, another thing you need, except for weapons, is, of course, food. Your player will experience hunger almost immediately after waking up. This guide will show you how to get food in Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest: How to Find Food

Luckily, there are plenty of ways to find food in Sons of the Forest.

  1. Hunting the local wildlife – once you craft your first weapons, such as a spear or bow and arrow, you can hunt for the wildlife. Head into the forest and hunt for some rabbits. When you get to the beach, there will be some turtles for you that can replenish your hunger bar. Moreover, seagulls are also a reliable source of meat.
  2. Pick Berries and Mushrooms – You would expect that a mysterious land has its own vegetation. This one does, and the plants you find on the island are an excellent food source.
  3. Energy Bars in Camps – There will be food, most likely energy bars stashed away in various camps on the island. Moreover, there will be a stash right of the corpses where you spawned. These are found in suitcases and boxes at the location.
  4. Create Your Own Plantation – the ultimate way to get food in Sons of the Forest is to become self-sustainable. This can be done b creating your own planting plots and setting traps for rabbits, fish, and squirrels, among other wildlife. Although unavailable initially, this can become a recurring food source.
