If you haven’t been keeping up with Star Wars: Rebels (first of all, shame on you), you might want to catch up because things are getting really interesting. The show is not as shy about using Darth Vader as he’s been in a few episodes already, but it seems that the long lost apprentice of Anakin Skywalker will finally face the all powerful Darth Vader.

The finale is still a few days away but there is a finale trailer available which does a great job of quickly retelling some of the many moments Ashoka and Anakin shared during the run of the Clone Wars. If you haven’t seen Star Wars: Clone Wars I’m afraid catching up might be a bit difficult.

Back to the Star Wars: Rebels finale; everything that this season of Rebels has been leading up to is about to be unleashed, but since we know Darth Vader is a pivotal player in episodes 4-6 there’s no way he’s not walking away from the battle between himself and Ashoka. The most logical conclusion to the finale confrontation is maybe the death, but very likely the defeat of Ashoka; she isn’t present in future Star Wars events which makes it very unlikely that she survives this encounter. It’s also very possible that Vader suffers grave injuries during this battle, which would explain the lack of crazy lightsaber performances in his future appearances.

What are your thoughts? Will Darth Vader deal with his former apprentice without breaking a sweat or will this battle set up explanations for discrepancies in battle styles in the different incarnations of Star Wars? Check out the Star Wars: Rebels finale trailer and prepare yourself for what will likely be a roller coaster of emotions.

Luis is a generally great person to be around with unfortunately with his sense of humor you never know when he's being serious. He plays enough video games to consider himself more than a novice and possibly watches too much tv.
