Discovering these elusive cores is no simple task, for they are often hidden within ancient Burial Chambers or Surtlings. Alternatively, resourceful adventurers may stumble upon these precious materials when recycling bonfires found in captured Fuling Villages or opening random chests scattered throughout the land. Boasting a stackable weight of 5.0, Surtling Cores are not only able but also crucial for constructing buildings such as Charcoal kilns, Smelters, Stone ovens, and Wards.

You can get Surtling Cores in Valheim from ancient Burial Chambers in the Dark Forest by killing Surtlings,  recycling bonfires, and random chests.

  1. Burial Chambers in the Dark Forest: This is the easiest way to get  Surtling Cores. Generally, you can get five to ten  Surtling Cores from one Burial Chamber. However, they spawn randomly.
  2. Killing Surtlings:  This is a dangerous task; startling usually can be challenging to take down. However, if you’re successful, you can get two to four Surtling Cores from a single Surtling.
  3. Recycling Bonfires: You can recycle bonfires found in captured Fuling Villages to get one or two Surtling Cores.
  4. Random Chests: Random chests scattered throughout the land usually contain one or two Surtling Cores.
