The third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is set to release on May 5th, 2023. So right after the Mario movie, we will see Chris Pratt again in his Star-Lord role for this Marvel movie. Everyone remembers when Batman was released, and we learned it was a 3-hour long-running movie. Many people had to set apart a bit of time to watch it, and it seems that Guardians 3 won’t be any different.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Will Have Third Longest Runtime of Marvel Movies
The director James Gunn not too long ago, stated that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. runtime will be “longer than 1 & 2,” which many fans already had an idea of the run-time. However, they didn’t know exactly how long it would be. This movie will be the final one with the Guardians team altogether, so automatically, we knew it would be intense, and emotional, but now we are promised an even longer movie after sites have started listing the movie today. Below is a list of some Marvel Studios movies that are the longest-running, including all two Guardians movies.
- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – 2 hours, 41 minutes
- Eternals – 2 hours, 36 minutes
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – 2 hours, 29 minutes
- Avengers: Infinity War – 2 hours, 29 minutes
- Spider-Man: No Way Home – 2 hours, 28 minutes
- Captain America: Civil War – 2 hours, 27 minutes
- The Avengers – 2 hours, 23 minutes
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – 2 hours, 21 minutes
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – 2 hours, 17 minutes
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 isn’t quite the 3-hour runtime some fans might have been hoping for, but it is still a decent amount of screen time compared to the second movie in the franchise. So we will get enough time with the Guardians…but with this film being “emotional” who knows exactly what we might be getting from it. But hopefully, it won’t be as heartbreaking as Endgame.
