Modern Warfare 2 is getting sweeter and sweeter by the minute. The upcoming season is said to feature 5 new multiplayer maps. Shipment 24/7 already made its way to the game towards the end of Season 2. It feels like Christmas already. But Infinity Ward keeps on giving. We’re getting Ground War Infected in MW2‘s Season 3!
MW2 Season 3 – Ground War Infected
It was reported today by CharlieIntel on Twitter that Ground War Infected is making a return to MW2‘s Season 3. We won’t get it from the get-go. Players will be able to play Ground War Infected sometime later in Season 3. No confirmed date for now.
Ground War Infected was initially pitched back in Modern Warfare 2019 days. In the game mode, one infected player chases down teammates, infecting them. Your aim is to infect or kill infected players.
Considering more than 30 players partake in Ground War Infected, it’s going to be a cesspool of toxicity and slurs, something Modern Warfare has been iconic for (for better or for worse).
But what maps are in the Ground War Infected playlist? Information is pretty sparse right now. But the COD community is excited. Players are looking forward to the game. COD gamers that deleted the game are yearning to reinstall the title.
Earlier, it was announced that MW2 Season 3 is getting 5 new multiplayer maps. We’re getting three 6v6 maps and 2 new Ground War maps. Alejandro and Valeria from the MW2 campaign are also joining the MW2 operator roster.
All we need is for Infinity Ward to bring back classic maps like Afghan and Quarry. After a continuous downward trend, things seem to be getting better by the minute for the COD community.
