Spice speaks about her recent sickness and how she survived the near-death experience. Queen of Dancehall, Spice, had a death scare last year that even made her write her will. However, she bounced back from the illness and is now sharing the experience with fans. Find out what she said below.

Spice is Grateful For Life

Queen of Dancehall, Spice, nearly died after a ruptured hernia led her to have sepsis. Fans are grateful as Spice speaks about her recent sickness and how she got through it.

Spice doubled down on the seriousness of her recent health scare. She told TMZ Hip Hop it took nearly a year of recovery just to get walking again.

Spice spoke to the outlet this week as she recounted her worst nightmare. The dancehall reggae queen had a ruptured hernia that resulted in sepsis and a 30 lb. weight loss.

Spice initially fooled fans with a pregnancy announcement back in March. However, she later explained that the photo only signified her return to life, not that she was actually expecting. The Go Down Deh crooner dropped a new track, God a Bless Me to celebrate the moment.

The mom of two dressed in a blue gown with blue hair in the Instagram photo showing her huge belly. “God has been so good to me. 💙💙💙,” she captioned the post.

Spice Speaks About Recent Sickness

Spice said that things got really bad during her hospitalization. The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star said she actually prepared a will, fearing she was on her deathbed.

She described the pain as if her organs were under attack and her skin was being eaten away.

Per the outlet, it took a team of 14 doctors and three chest-busting operations to save Spice’s life. Consequently, she stayed two months in the hospital and another six months relearning basic life functions like eating and talking.

The 40-year-old revealed that talking, let alone singing, was initially ruled out for her. However, she’s back chatting it up like never before and putting out music.

It’s a relief that Spice’s surgery went well, and doctors succeeded in saving her life. Hopefully, she can live in good health and continue to make more music.
