Developer Tango Gameworks recently announced that Ghostwire Tokyo was heading to Xbox Game Pass with an official release date. Ghostwire Tokyo, with a Metacritic score of 75, is worth trying out. So when is it coming out? If you’re not in the know, you’ll be glad to hear that Ghostwire Tokyo is now available on Xbox Game Pass as of April 12, 2023, but not the prelude.

Ghostwire Tokyo Xbox Game Pass Release Date

Ghostwire Tokyo has made its way to Xbox Game Pass, with a release date of April 12, 2023. Players can enjoy everything the title had to offer upon its release on the PlayStation platform. The title is also getting additional story content updates for the Xbox.

With a decent Metacritic score of 75, Ghostwire Tokyo is worth trying out. It could be what you’re looking for with its post-apocalyptic depiction of the streets and skylines of Tokyo being overrun by Japanese folklore-adapted ghosts, creatures, and apparitions.

Ghostwire Tokyo’s Prelude visual novel was released way before the game made its way to PC and PlayStation. The visual novel gave us a taste of what the game had to offer regarding lore, story, and world-building. But that’s missing here. Ghostwire Tokyo’s prelude is not coming to the Xbox.

Still, the Xbox version of Ghostwire Tokyo on Game Pass will include every update made to the game since its release. You’ll get to experience everything Ghostwire Tokyo has to offer except for the prelude.

We’re also getting a new update for the newly released Xbox title. It was revealed through the new Spider thread update that brings new locations to the supernatural narrow streets of Tokyo.

So, what are your thoughts on the game’s release date for the Xbox Game Pass containing all updates except for the Prelude? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for more updates only on The Nerd Stash.
