Stealth and toughness are great individually, but they’re even better as a combo. Off the Record makes you harder to find and harder to kill in Dead by Daylight. It doesn’t get much better than that as a survivor. Ever since its buff, Off the Record has spent quite a while in some of the game’s best meta builds. Even surrendering its protection with a Conspicuous Action isn’t enough to keep survivors from this perk. Whether you’re trying to outlast a tunneling Nemesis or prepare yourself for the next SWF you face, here’s how the Off the Record Perk works in Dead by Daylight.

Off the Record is a unique Perk you can unlock by leveling up Zarina Kassir. For now, it’s one of the strongest survivor perks in the game, thanks to its potent combo of Endurance and stealth abilities. Here’s what the perk does:

  • Hides your Aura from the killer
  • Suppresses your Grunts of Pain when injured
  • Grants you Endurance status

At Tier 3, Off the Record grants those effects for 80 seconds. Performing a Conspicuous Action (such as unhooking or repairing a generator) will cancel your Endurance, however. Don’t expose yourself to unnecessary harm by discarding your Endurance while the killer is near. That includes sneaky Ghost Faces. Off the Record deactivates automatically once the Exit Gates are powered, so you won’t be able to use it for any last-second body-blocking.

How to Unlock Off the Record Perk for All Characters in Dead by Daylight

Initially, the Off the Record Perk can only appear in Zarina Kassir’s Bloodweb. Considering how useful it is, however, you’ll probably want it on all your survivors. To unlock all three of Zarina’s perks in every survivor’s Bloodweb, you’ll need to Prestige Zarina. That will require you to level up 50 times and purchase the unique Prestige node on the Bloodweb. From then on, Off the Record will appear in every survivor’s Bloodweb. If you want every survivor to start with the perk at its maximum level, you’ll need to level Zarina to Prestige 3. Do that and it’ll take Deathslinger’s Redeemer to reel you in.
