Want to know how to repair and upgrade weapons in Dead Island 2? Although Dead Island 2 offers players a vast selection of various weapons that you will find through the story or in random game locations, their durability is not infinite. By beating up enemies, your weapons will gradually lose durability and eventually break. Of course, you can pick up other weapons, but you don’t want to change these if you find the perfect club or machete. Fortunately, you can repair or upgrade weapons in Dead Island 2, and today we’ll tell you how to do it.

To repair weapons in Dead Island 2, you must find a Workbench and prepare some money. You can find Workbench as you progress through the story. In addition, you can see these on the in-game map. Go to any Workbench, interact with it, and select the Weapons tab to see all your weapons. Finally, click and hold on to the item you want to repair.

A tooltip at the bottom of the screen will show you how much money you must pay to repair. The lower your weapon’s durability, the more expensive the repair cost. But, if you do not need this weapon, you can scrap it into parts by holding F3 or the right analog stick. You can use the materials to upgrade or create a new custom weapon.

As you progress through the story and become stronger, your weapons may become too weak. You can replace it with something more powerful or upgrade it. For this, you will need money, materials, and unique blueprints. If you want to upgrade a weapon to your current level, select the item, collect some materials, and hold down F1, X, or Square, depending on your device. But remember that you only upgrade the weapon and cannot increase its rarity. So you will have to change weapons to something more powerful sooner or later.

If you want to give the weapon definite upgrades, you’ll need a blueprint. You can get these items by killing the most powerful zombies, finding a new Workbench, or meeting with new allied NPCs. After, go to Workbench, select a weapon, and press F2, Triangle, or Y depending on your device. Choose the blueprint you want to use and enjoy the result.

Dead Island 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
