A lot of players are curious as to whether or not developer Respawn included any love interests to romance in this installment. Let’s break down all we know about romance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Be warned, however, as some major spoilers will be involved.

If you are hoping for Cal to have romance options that you are able to influence and pursue, then prepare to be left wanting. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does give Cal a potential love interest, but it is obscure. The idea never goes anywhere serious during the course of the game.

In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal meets a Nightsister named Merrin over the course of his journey. This character eventually decides to join him but doesn’t get much development because she becomes a companion very late in the game.

Survivor develops Merrin a lot more, and Cal spends quite a bit of time with her, slowly allowing a romance to brew. At one point, the two share a campfire while sitting close to one another. Merrin takes an opportunity to rest on Cal’s shoulder and even grabs his hand after he falls asleep.

Later on, Merrin kisses Cal after he admits he trusts her while fleeing an Empire mining drill. The two’s romance becomes increasingly obvious, but Cal hesitates based on the Jedi code. Eventually, however, he gives in and desires to start something real with her after tragedy strikes later in the game. The story heads in that direction, but it is never officially confirmed that the two are actually together after the credits roll. Their relationship is slightly complicated but seems to still be progressing.

If you are looking for romance and love interests in the same manner as Mass Effect or Dragon Age, then Survivor will leave you wanting.
