How many chapters are there in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed? Future Redeemed is the final DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, offering fans one last story campaign. The main story for the base game is an expansive narrative with elaborate lore and a huge world to explore. It takes players hundreds of hours to discover everything that they need to know in the base title, but is Future Redeemed just as long? Future Redeemed has several new chapters for players to play, finishing the story arc established from the first Xenoblade Chronicles game.

How Many Chapters Are There in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed?

[Updated on August 28, 2024 – Updated links]

Future Redeemed is not a full game. It is meant to be an expansion to the main Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game and isn’t meant to be taken as a separate title. However, as is tradition with role-playing games, Future Redeemed has more substance than most traditional games. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC has a new overworld for players to travel, with new locations and sidequests to take part in. Past protagonists Shulk and Rex also make a grand return in Future Redeemed.

The main Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game only has seven chapters in its campaign. Despite that, the game is notoriously long. Even if you only go through the main quests, the story took players, on average, over 60 hours to beat. For completionists, the main game takes over 150 hours to finish.

Contrarily, Future Redeemed has only five chapters. The length of each chapter varies, with the first two chapters being short. The first two chapters also introduce players to the world and setting of the DLC. Once you’ve reached chapter 3, the DLC fully opens up. That’s when most of the sidequests and extras become available to you.

How Long Will It Take To Finish Future Redeemed?

Future Redeemed doesn’t match the main Xenoblade Chronicle 3‘s length, but it is still a lengthy DLC expansion. If you only want to go through the main storyline of Future Redeemed, you can potentially finish the DLC in under 20 hours. Twenty hours for a single title is still pretty long for a DLC expansion. Yet given how ambitious Future Redeemed’s narrative is, connecting back to the original two games in the franchise, it makes sense for the DLC to be a little longer than normal expansions. If you want to 100% complete Future Redeemed, it could take 40 to 50 hours.
