There are two different ways that you can obtain an Ancient Coin, and both of them require a visit to Jarilo-VI.

  1. Break Objects on Jarilo-VI
    • Breaking objects is fairly simple. Anytime you are walking through the different areas of the planet, and you come across an object that appears to have a blue target on it, that means it is a breakable object.
    • Once you find a breakable object, use the button corresponding to your basic attack to break the object and obtain its contents.
  2. Investigate Trash Cans littered throughout Jarilo-VI
    • Finding trash cans can be a bit difficult in Jarilo-VI unless you’re in an area like the Administrative District
    • Once you locate a trash can walk up to it and investigate it. You will often find notes or letters, and sometimes even nothing. However, there is a small chance for you to obtain Ancient Coins in the process.

How to Use Ancient Coins in Honkai Star Rail

Ancient Coins are no longer used as a form of currency within the game, so there isn’t much that can be done with them. However, you can earn 5 Stellar Jades by completing achievements that involve collecting Ancient Coins. More specifically, the Twinkly, Winkly achievement within the Memories We Share category.

Alternatively, an Ancient Coin is considered a quest item, which means there is a good chance it will be used later in the game’s storyline. So, it’s a great idea to at least pick up a few of them, just in case.

This is everything you need to know about how to get and use Ancient Coins in Honkai: Star Rail. Be sure to check back for more useful and interesting guides, and as always, be safe and have fun!

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
