Nick Cannon is looking back at the harsh reality of losing a would-have-been thirteenth child after his ex-girlfriend Jessica White suffered a miscarriage. Nick and the model dated in 2020 and were reportedly still an item when Nick confirmed he was expecting a child with Brittany Bell. However, Jessica felt blindsided by the news of Brittany’s pregnancy, ultimately leading to the end of their romance.
During a sitdown with actor Jason Lee on his podcast, The Daily Cannon host discussed a 2020 interview with Jessica. During this occasion, she addressed her miscarriage and the events leading to their split. The TV personality admitted he was still in love with Jessica, referring to her as his muse. He added:
“That woman has overcome so much, and is just a light and an angel to so many, who operates on a higher frequency.”
Nick Cannon Takes Accountability Years After Jessica White’s Miscarriage
Notably, during their time together, Jessica became pregnant with Nick’s baby. However, she lost the pregnancy due to a miscarriage, leaving her devastated. Just two weeks later, Brittany announced her pregnancy on Instagram without informing Jessica another woman was expecting his baby.
Having gained first-hand knowledge of empathizing with a mom’s emotional responses as a dad of twelve, Nick has learned the errors in how he handled the situation back in 2020. He explained:
“When it comes to any of the mothers of my children, those types of things — as someone who has lost a child, especially when you’re dealing with a mother, there’s no age or stage where you can say what their emotions should be when losing that child.”
Nick Cannon admitted to Jason that he was taking full accountability for his fallout with Jessica White after the miscarriage. He also clarified that he had no intention of speaking for any of his baby mamas, as he deemed them capable of telling their own stories when they are ready.
Jessica took the lead in 2020 when she shared their story during a sitdown with Jason Lee. At the time, she admitted Nick’s approach to sharing the news of Brittany’s pregnancy contributed to their relationship strain. She admittedly felt shut out because she got to find out about it on Instagram, like the rest of the world.
Things worsened further because many began to perceive her as the homewrecker after Brittany’s announcement. Many failed to realize she and Nick had a serious relationship at the time and even lived together. Their attempt to work things out amid the ensuing drama proved futile. Ultimately, Nick Cannon’s relationship with Jessica White ended on a complicated note. Still, somehow, their love seems to have survived the harsh years.
