In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Zant’s Helmet protects you from freezing, but you’ll still take cold damage from places like frozen lakes. In Tears of the Kingdom, as in Breath of the Wild, it’s essential to be able to travel easily and comfortably in cold biomes, which makes cold resistance especially useful. Zant’s Helmet is one item that makes the entire process very simple. So, let’s break down how and where Zant’s Helmet in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

To get Zant’s Helmet, you must go to the Scorching Coliseum and defeat all the creatures that enter the arena. After that, a chest will appear in the middle. Once this has been opened, you’ll find the coveted item inside. Fun fact, this helmet was originally added to Zelda Breath of the Wild in The Champions’ Ballad DLC. It’s been carried over to the sequel and makes for a very powerful early-game item that every player should have.

Here’s how the item is described in-game:

“The ruthless Usurper King of the Twilight Realm wore a helmet much like this one… It’s a rather rare find.”

If you remember, Zant’s helmet was much harder to get in Breath of the Wild because you had to travel to several different locations. This item gives you 3 Defense and Unfreezable. Thanks to the Unfreezable perk, this Zant’s Helmet allows you to travel more easily in cold places and you might need to use it often in the game.

That wraps up our guide on how to get Zant’s helmet. For more useful content on the game, search The Nerd Stash. If you’re interested in learning how to get more cold resistance, we have a guide on exactly that topic here.
