Mutant Grease is known as a mutant item drop. Among the several new materials added to the game, it is one of the most straightforward to acquire. However, that does not make it the easiest for everyone. If you want Mutant Grease in V Rising, you must battle mutated enemies. As we mentioned, the primary source of this resource is as straightforward as they come. It includes the following:

  • Mutated Bear
  • Mutated Deer
  • Mutated Moose
  • Mutated Rat
  • Mutated Wolf

The best area you can go to find these enemies is in the also newly added Gloomrot South. Now, here is where things can get tricky. Gloomrot South is not for beginning characters. Your character should be level 60 or so at a minimum before you reach the region. It will make your time there far less trying so that you can promptly acquire your Mutant Grease in V Rising.

Looting the mutated enemies you kill is not the only way to get the V Rising Mutant Grease. You can also head to your Sawmill and toss in x40 Gloom Wood. After 60 seconds, you will receive x2 Mutant Grease and x4 Plank. Of course, that means you must harvest several trees in Gloomrot to get enough Gloom Wood.

V Rising Mutant Grease – How To Use

Once you have Mutant Grease, you can go to two different structures: Tannery and Vermin Nest. If you don’t have the Tannery, you need Keely the Frost Archer to unlock the structure. Meanwhile, the Vermin Nest is accessible once you do the “Fortify” quest.

In the Tannery, you can use Mutant Grease in the following recipe:

  • Pristine Leather
    • x20 Mutant Grease | x20 Pristine Hides

For the Vermin Nest, you can use Mutant Grease as the spawning element for the creature below:

  • x6 Spiderlings
    • x16 Mutant Grease | x1 Fishbone

The Pristine Leather makes finding Mutant Grease worth the endeavor into Gloomrot South. So, prepare your character and venture into the new area to loot plenty of the material.
