Zelda’s latest entry borrows Hitman’s disguise mechanic, so you better learn how to get the Horriblin mask in Tears of the Kingdom. Fighting enemies is for suckers. And running makes you look like a wimp. So why not disguise yourself as enemies instead? With Koltin‘s wares, you can infiltrate enemy outposts and pretend you’re one of them. Just grab their goods and say you’re off to a scouting mission; they won’t care.

Who is Koltin, The Merchant?

To unlock the Horriblin Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to trade with Koltin. Before you can exchange with Koltin, you’ll have to unlock him. So head to Woodland Stable and complete The Search for Koltin quest. Then, he’ll be available for you to trade Bubbul gems if you can find him.

To find Koltin, keep your eyes peeled for a guy with a giant colorful balloon. You can usually spot him near villages. Once you’ve located him, prepare for a quirky and rewarding transaction. Koltin is all about the Bubbul gems. If you’ve been collecting these sparkling gems on your journey, you’re in for a treat.

Now, let’s talk about the grand prize: the Horriblin Mask. Unfortunately, Koltin isn’t just a one-trick monster merchant. Along the way, as you continue to indulge him with your valuable Bubbul gems, he’ll throw in some extra goodies for you. You’ll receive a special surprise every 3 or 4 emblems you give him, like the Bokoblin max or pricey Hinox toenails.

This frightful accessory can be yours for a mere 4 Bubbul gem emblems. Koltin will gladly hand over this grotesque mask in exchange for those shimmering gems.

When you’ve handed over 25 Bubbul gems to Koltin, he’ll give you the Horriblin mask in Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Farm Bubbul Gems in ToK

If you want to farm Bubbul gems, your best bet is to go after those mischievous Bubbulfrogs. These critters have a knack for dropping Bubbul gems when they get hit, making them the prime source of these valuable gems. To increase your chances of encountering Bubbulfrogs, head to caves. These little rascals love to hang out in the dark depths of caverns.

Need help to find caves? Just offer fruit in front of a majestic Cherry Blossom tree, and watch as all the nearby caves light up, revealing themselves for you to explore and farm those precious Bubbul gems and get the Horriblin Mask in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
