A place for every stone

Almost all Schema Stones in Tears of the Kingdom require a few swings of your sword to take down the Yiga Clan. Most of the stones are even part of the same questline.

The building mechanic is a novel feature in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. With Fusion, you can build new weapons, bridges, and other mechanical devices that make your life easier. Custom creations can be anything from a car, bike, boat, or glider. Whatever you choose to make, the game does have a mechanic that allows you to save your designs: Autobuild. To get your blueprints for Autobuild, you’ll need to collect Schema Stones. These stones are scattered all about Hyrule, so we’ll help you find all the Schema Stone locations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

While finding these things organically throughout your playthrough is possible, getting them in short order can make life much easier. These Schema Stones provide interesting machines for travel, chaos, and whatever else to liven Link’s adventure. Most of the time, you’ll find all Schema Stones in Tears of the Kingdom near natural landmarks or quest-ends.

Schema Stones can appear anywhere. So, whether you want to find them on your own or through a guide like this one, you can still find a substantial amount. Below are all the Schema Stone locations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Dirigible In Abandoned Lurelin Mine

The Dirigible is a simple device saved to a Schema Stone. It consists of a platform with two balloons attached to each side. Pretty useful for navigation, especially if you introduce some fans to the mix. You’ll need to go to the Abandoned Lurelin Mine to get the Schema Stone for this device.

The closest chasm to this location is the Meda Mountian Chasm, near Lurelin Village. To get your hands on the stone, you’ll need to defeat the nearby Yiga Clan. A Construct in the area will reward you with the Dirigible Schema Stone for your efforts.

Launch Pad in Abandoned Karkariko Mine

The Launch Pad Schema Stone is located in the Abandoned Karkariko Mine near East Hill Chasm. Near the middle of the structure, you’ll see a Construct in the mine. Talk to it, and you’ll have access to the Launch Pad Schema Stone.

Hovercraft Machine In Abandoned Gerudo Mine

In the Abandoned Gerudo Mine, you’ll find the Hovercraft. The mine is located under the Gerudo Desert. You’ll need to defeat the Yiga Clan group that lurks nearby to obtain the stone. Keep in mind, before you can access this Schema Stone, you’ll need to unlock the Fanplane and Hot-Air Balloon ones first through the quest A Mission In The Depths.

Rocket Platform Machine in Abandoned Herbra Mine

The Rocket Platform is in the Abandoned Hebra Mine near the Rito Village Chasm. When activated, it shoots you into the sky, making it a helpful navigation tool. You can obtain this stone as a part of the Master Kohga questline. Be aware, though, this involves some Yiga Clan warfare. So come prepared.

Bolt Boat From Abandoned Lanayru Mine

The Bolt Boat is in the Abandoned Lanayru Mine. You can find the mine just below the South Akkala Plains Chasm. Throughout the Master Kohga quest, you can find the Bolt Boat on the way. This is the second to last Schema Stone you obtain through that questline specifically.

Bridge from Abandoned Hateno Mine

You can get your hands on a pre-built bridge Schema Stone near the Abandoned Hateno Mine. Like many of the other Schema Stones, you’ll need to defeat a Yiga or two to get access to the reward from the Construct. To find the Bridge Schema Stone, navigate toward Hateno Village and search for the mine.

Cannon in Abandoned Tarrey Mine

The Instant Cannon is located in Tarrey Mine, just south of the East Akkala Plains Chasm. Surprisingly enough, no Yiga to fight here. Just walk into the mine, find the Construct, and it’ll reward you with the Schema Stone. This is by far the easiest one to get.

Scaffolding in Abandoned Kara Kara Mine

Need scaffolding for navigation? You can find the Schema Stone, Instant Scaffold, in the Abandoned Kara Kara Mine. If you’re having trouble finding the Kara Kara Mine, find the Birida Lookout Chasm first, then navigate from there until you find the mine. Like many of the Schema Stones, you’ll have to fight some Yiga before you can get it and use it.

Automated Ally in Abandoned Eldin Mine

The Automated Ally is just what it sounds like. It’s a little robot that does some attacking for you. This one is among the easiest to find out of all the Schema Stone locations. Like the Cannon Schema Stone, you don’t need to fight anything to get this one. Find the mine, locate your Construct, and obtain your reward. If you’re having trouble tracking down the mine, consider wandering about Minshi Woods and Death Mountain.

Cycle Machine in the Shrine of Resurrection

The Beam Cycle has one of the easiest Schema Stone locations in the game. It’s just on the surface of Hyrule rather than in a mine. To get your Cycle, navigate to the Shrine of Resurrection near Gerudo Canyon Pass and Mount Hylia. If you remember correctly, this is where Link slept for 100 years in Breath of the Wild. Returning to this location rewards you with one of the coolest pre-builds in the game.
