At the time of release, Diablo 4 had quite a few different bugs. And even the new Season of Blood has this curse. Nevertheless, the game is still quite popular. And just like in previous games in the series, you can choose any class and create a build that suits your play style. For this, you have to deal with a huge variety of stats, such as Thorns, which can greatly increase your lethality in Diablo 4. But of course, you need to get this ability first.
Diablo 4 Thorns Stat Explained
Thorns are one of the passive features that will attack your enemies when they damage you in Diablo 4. But you should not hope that this will somehow save your life. Thorns reflect a small part of the damage you take. In other words, you still have to lose health to attack with this ability.
We also do not recommend low-health classes use this feature as it is the worst defensive stat. At the same time, classes like Barbarian or Druid can become several times more deadly with Thorns. Instead of just absorbing damage, they can use it to destroy enemies even faster.
How To Increase Thorns in Diablo 4
First, you must get Thorns in Diablo 4. Luckily, here are several ways to do this:
Find Special Armor
- Rage of Harrogath
- Ring of Mendeln
- Razorplate
Learn Skill
- Spiked Armor (Necromancer)
Equip Aspect
- Needleflare Aspect (Available to all classes)
- Death Wish Aspect (Only available to Barbarians)
Thorns stat will have different values depending on whether you use armor or aspect. Luckily, you can significantly increase the damage dealt by Thorns by increasing the primary stats:
- Druid – Willpower
- Barbarian – Strength
- Sorceress – Intelligence
- Necromancer – Intelligence
- Rogue – Dexterity
Moreover, by using Elixirs, you can increase this stat even higher. However, as we said, Thorns will only help tank-type characters in Diablo 4. Otherwise, you’d better focus on increasing your defense.
That’s all you need to know about how Thorns works in Diablo 4. This stat can be very useful for Druid and Barbarian classes, so follow our tips to increase Thorns’ effectiveness. In the meantime, take a look at our guide on how to get Umbrous Aspect in Diablo 4.
