Update 1.02 has arrived for Final Fantasy 16, and here are the bug fixes and changes that arrived with this patch. This is the second patch released for the game. The players downloaded the day one patch yesterday, and it contained vital optimizations that help the game work more stable than in beta. There were numerous complaints about the performance of the beta performance. Today’s game is working much better than previous versions. Here are the patch notes for Final Fantasy 16 1.02.

  • Fix a control flag issue that can make progress impossible under very specific circumstances.
  • Fix an issue wherein the game could close unexpectedly under very specific circumstances.
  • Optimize performance in several places
  • Fix some minor text errors

There were only four changes here, but that was expected. Usually, the day-one patches bring changes a lot, and the next patches only bring a few changes. Undoubtedly, gamers don’t like downloading updates every day. But there’s a reason why Square Enix chose to release an update containing only four changes. That’s because they’re probably important as they affect the gameplay quality for some, and the download shouldn’t be skipped. We could see similar updates containing a few changes, so ensure your console downloads the patches automatically. Considering the game is only on PS5, the console’s rest mode downloads the updates automatically, which is a good solution.

It’s also worth noting that the game’s day one version is much better than the demo release. The first thing developers fixed was the poor optimization; now, it works just fine. PlayStation 5 has a power that shouldn’t be underestimated, and the developers use the benefits of that. Some PC games could fail by offering an optimized performance, but the thing is much easier in consoles. If you’re still experiencing problems, don’t worry. The developers are in a marathon of fixing them.

Final Fantasy 16 is available on PS5. For more information regarding this patch, please visit the official Final Fantasy 16 site.
