Nevertheless, recent happenings on the show, including Andre’s recent eviction, have left Catherine’s future in the villa in question. Here are four reasons why it increasingly looks like Catherine could be the next Islander dumped from the villa.
Catherine Has Received Less Airtime
Fans paired Catherine and Andre at the beginning of Love Island season 10. Although the two split when Zach came into the picture, Andre remained focused on rekindling his romance with Catherine. This delighted fans, as they were impressed with Andre’s persistence, and the couple’s story was already starting to feel like another remarkable Love Island comeback. Nevertheless, Catherine and Andre began receiving far less airtime than other couples on the show.
Last week, things reached boiling point as fans took to social media to vent their frustrations over the situation. They accused the producers of trying to erase the duo from the show. Despite the several challenges that took place last week, the pair got very little screen time. Andre ultimately left the show after the Islanders chose to save Sammy and Zach over him.
Fans Find Catherine Boring
Catherine has become a pretty divisive character for Love Island fans. While some are upset that she isn’t getting much screen time, others feel that the 22-year-old real estate agent is boring. On Reddit, one user, u/TechnologyPlane4421, took the time to analyze Catherine’s personality, launching a thread with the caption, “Catherine being boring.” The OP pointed out that she was a big fan of Catherine. However, that wasn’t an excuse to ignore the obvious truth. In summary, the user felt Catherine wasn’t getting much screen time because she wasn’t bringing as much drama to the show as other contestants.
While Catherine has a likable personality, that doesn’t cut it for a show like Love Island. Unlike most other contestants, Catherine is calmer and knows what she wants in her partner. When Zach kissed Molly and refused to apologize, Catherine threw no tantrums. She found solace in rekindling her romance with Andre. However, she fell out of the spotlight at that moment.
Catherine Has No Love Island Connection
Catherine is in a bad spot now as she seemingly has no Love Island connection following the elimination of Andre. Although she and bombshell Scott van der Sluis are currently a couple, the two don’t have any chemistry. Scott appears to only have eyes for fellow bombshell Leah Taylor.
Scott would likely go for Leah if given a chance in another recoupling ceremony, leaving Catherine staring at the end of her run. She has no genuine interest in the other current male Islanders in the villa. One of the reasons Islanders chose to vote Ruchee out was because of her lack of a connection. Catherine looks set to also fall victim to this rule. The addition of a female bombshell will inevitably spell the end of her stint on the show.

In reality TV shows, producers are saddled with the difficult task of selecting what content they feel would be most entertaining to viewers, and this inadvertently means not everyone gets enough screen time. This is why the contestants who frequently produce drama always get the most airtime. Unfortunately for Catherine, her calm demeanor effectively rules her out of this fierce competition.
However, the recent happenings on the show point to a more deliberate targeting of Catherine by the producers. While it is normal for contestants not to get equal screen time, it is absurd when a particular contestant is edited out of a challenge. Unfortunately, producers editing Catherine out of Love Island challenges has become a common theme.
