Valorant players want to know who is the voice actor for Deadlock, the Norwegian Agent with the robotic left arm. The character made her grand debut on June 27, version 7.0 of the game. Fans were instantly captivated by Deadlock’s play style, design, and unique Norwegian accent. She stood out from a cast of other memorable playable characters, with many latching onto her voice. There aren’t any other Agents in Valorant from Norway, which helped make Deadlock feel special among the roster. Riot Games has shared who voices Deadlock in a behind-the-scenes video.

Riot Games revealed that Norwegian actress Nora Gjestvang is Valorant Deadlock’s voice actor. Riot Games shared a behind-the-scenes video on their social media accounts, showcasing Gjestvang answering questions about the character. While Deadlock quips and has dialogue in English, the voice actress speaks almost exclusively in Norwegian during the video.

Gjestvang talks about the similarities between herself and Agent Deadlock, claiming both go “full steam ahead” when wanting to achieve a goal. Her favorite voice line as Deadlock is, “My territory, my rules,” which the character says when using her ultimate, Annihilation.

Gjestvang is an actress most known for dubbing animated features, including Disney films Moana and Turning Red. Her IMDB page shows she has but a few credits, with Valorant being one of her most prolific voice-acting performances yet in the United States.

Lore-wise, Deadlock’s real name is Iselin, and she is a Sentinel, a defensive Valorant Agent specializing in dropping down small objects that become obstacles to enemy players. She uses her prophetic arm and cutting-edge technology to trap and defeat other Agents. Many of her traps are nanowires that keep characters stuck in a single location. Her arm can also spew out concussive blasts to stop enemies in their tracks.
