Dave the Diver is a title that merges several features into one fun and memorable package. Whether you like exploring, cooking, or managing a business, there is something for anyone in this title. One of the best and most fun things in Dave the Diver is the ability to dive for fish which you can then sell or cook for the game’s second biggest mechanic: managing a restaurant. For this, looking for the largest and rarest fish in the ocean is important. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find and catch Marlin in Dave the Diver.

As you might know, the game has several rogue-like elements, making each run different. Every time you dive into the Blue Hole, the layout changes, making memorizing certain areas more challenging. Yet, some weapon drops and places stay the same, which applies to certain fish species. For those who want to catch and find Marlin in the latest Dave the Diver game, diving between 20m to 50m is your best bet. These are the places where we’ve found the majority of Marlin, which is a great fish to catch and either sell or cook for the daily menu at the restaurant.

How to Catch Marlin

Catching a Marlin in Dave the Diver is difficult as every fish species is different in the game. Catching certain fish can be challenging, given how things change with every run, including weapons. Yet, to catch Marlin in the game, we recommend that you upgrade your harpoon gun. There are many upgrades you can prioritize, and this one is the one we recommend. Your harpoon will do more damage and will let you catch fish faster. Besides that, remember to open weapon creates to get harpoon upgrades. If your luck isn’t the best, you can always use your guns but risk losing some of the meat a caught fish would give.

That’s a wrap on how to find and catch Marlin in Dave the Diver. There are many ways to catch certain fish, so don’t feel forced to use the abovementioned one. This game gives a lot of player freedom which is great as everyone can explore the sea at their own pace. Yet, it is important to come prepared before diving and facing some of the biggest species in this title.

Dave the Diver is available now on PC through Steam.
