If you’re at a loss for where to use the Mayor’s Briefcase key in DMZ, you’re not alone. The developers of Call of Duty: Warzone are trying to make the game not only a typical shooter but also add a lot of interactive elements so that players can have fun and discover something new. One type of interactive element is opening containers, safes, and cases where you can find many interesting and useful items or weapons. You need to do a lot of work from getting this key to open the Mayor’s Briefcase, which is protected by enemies. This guide will provide you with all the necessary instructions and tips on how to do it right.
How to Get the Mayor’s Briefcase Key In DMZ
Of course, before you can open the Mayor’s Briefcase, you need to get the key. This isn’t that simple since there are several options on how to do it, but each of them is complicated and requires some work. Below, we will provide a list of all the available options on how you can get this key. In addition, we want to inform you that all the actions you will need to perform take place on the Vondel map, a new map that became available after season 4. Well, let’s get down to the options for where you can find the key.
Looting
The first, and probably the most difficult, way is looting. You can try to get the key from an enemy, or maybe you will find it somewhere on the ground because someone else killed an enemy and didn’t notice it, but this is unlikely. Since this is a rather time-consuming method, and in most cases depends on RNG, we do not recommend using it to achieve this goal.
Complete the Hunter Mission
The next option to get the Mayor’s Briefcase Key in DMZ is to complete the Hunter DMZ mission. You can get this mission from the Phalanx faction. But since this is a level 4 mission, you won’t be able to access it so easily, and you will need to unlock and complete the faction’s previous missions before doing this. If you are lucky and have access to it, then this is a really good chance to get the key. The tasks to complete it are not easy, but worth it. Here is a list of them:
- Exfil successfully.
- Complete 3 hunt contracts in one deployment
It doesn’t look easy, but the rewards are really generous, namely:
- Mayor’s Briefcase Key
- 15 000 XP
You can use this method if you have actually opened and completed all past faction missions. If not, the next method is the best choice for you.
Get the Key From Sewers Maintenance Crate
Now let’s take a look at the last option to get the Mayor’s Briefcase Key in DMZ. It is probably the best way for those who don’t want to waste time looting or completing faction missions. You can loot the Briefcase Key from the toolbox located in the sewers in the E5 map grid. The screenshot below shows the exact location.
The problem is that access to the Sewers Maintenance also requires a key, which you can find in the Diver Crate, which is located on the G5 map grid. It is submerged underwater and contains the key to the location you need, as well as other rewards. See the screenshot below to see where this location is.
When you have the key, as well as access to the right location, you will need to go down to Sewers Maintenance, which is located in the basement. There you can see a toolbox. Open it and there you will find the long-awaited Mayor’s Briefcase Key along with other useful bonuses.
Where To Find the Mayor’s Briefcase in DMZ
When you have the key to the Mayor’s Briefcase in your hands, it’s time to look for where to find it. The Mayor’s Briefcase is located on a bench near the town hall. See the screenshot below to understand the exact location.
When you approach the location, you will see an iron case. This is the one you need, so open it to get the reward. We also have to warn you that there will be a lot of AI enemies waiting for you at the location, which are quite strong. If you are playing alone, be careful, or better yet, call your friends or gather a team to complete this task.
When you open the case, you will get the following rewards:
- Gold Bar
- Windmill Bag Key
In addition to the main rewards that you will definitely get in this case, you can also get other items and consumables that are usually found in such caches.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Battle.Net.
