Want to know how to get Shishioji Flute Mount in FFXIV? While the recent Patch 6.45 brought a lot of new features to the game, the updated Mount Rokkon dungeon and a couple of unique mounts got the most attention. And this is not surprising because Mounts are not just vehicles and rare collectible units. Luckily, both new terrible mounts are free and only require hard farming time. And while the giant yokai-inspired lantern is relatively easy to obtain, finding Shishioji Flute in FFXIV can take a long grinding time in a new dungeon.

Where To Get Shishioji Flute in FFXIV

Shishioji Mount is a terrible Chimera with a lion’s mane, a tiger’s body, a distorted human face, and a snake that replaces the creature’s tail. In addition, this creature can fly, which makes it even more frightening and desirable in any player collection. Luckily, you can get Shishioji Flute in FFXIV in two ways, both of which are free:

  • First, you can get Shishioji Flute after defeating the final boss of Another Mount Rokkon dungeon.
  • Secondly, you can buy Shishioji Flute for 100 Shishu Coins from NPC Trisassant in Old Sharlayan.

It is worth noting that both methods are interconnected because by completing Another Mount Rokkon, you can get the coveted mount with a little chance. But you will get 4 Shishu Coins with a 100% chance. So after you complete the dungeon 25 times and still have no luck, you can buy a mount. As we said earlier, you must go to Old Sharlayan and find NPC Trisassant (coordinates X: 12.0, Y: 13.3). Select the desired Shishioji Flute Mount from the list of items and purchase it for 100 Shishu Coins.

How To Unlock Another Mount Rokkon in FFXIV

If you have just started your adventures after the global update, you should know how to unlock the new Another Mount Rokkon dungeon:

  • First, go to Old Sharlayan and talk to NPC Osmon at coordinates X: 11.9 Y: 13.3.
  • Accept the Mononoke Aware side quest and complete it.
  • Return to NPC Osmon and talk to him again to unlock Another Mount Rokkon dungeon.

Please note that this dungeon is a difficult challenge for experienced players. So gather the most powerful team possible. Moreover, you will have to complete it far more than once, so a balanced high-level team is an integral requirement for success.
