Are Dan Feng, Dan Heng, and the Imbibitor Lunae Related in Honkai Star Rail?
Since we’ll be delving into some critical plot points of the game, a spoiler warning is due. Some things are better you discover while playing, but if you can’t wait, we’ll discuss Dan Feng, Dan Heng, and the Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail.
The name might be too obvious, but since Dan Heng and Dan Feng’s names are similar, people think they are related and aren’t wrong. Dan Feng is the previous incarnation of Dan Heng and the previous Imbibitor Lunae. This might be too much to take in, but we’ll explain.
Is There More Than One Imbibitor Lunae?
It is uncertain, but so far, there is one every certain time. According to the lore, Dan Feng was an Imbibitor Lunae who then reincarnated as Dan Heng, who holds this power. The dragon-like race of the Xianzhou seem to be the holders of this power, yet it is unknown if they are chosen somehow or if it happens randomly. According to some theories, Bailu might be the next in line to get the Imbibitor’s power; however, we’ll have to wait and see if the game delves more into this topic.

As you can see, the lore regarding Dan Feng, the Imbibitor Lunae, and Dan Heng is extensive. For the latter, we already know he’s getting a 5-star version, as confirmed by HoYoverse. Plus, if you’ve played the latest story, plenty of information confirms this, and players are excited to see similar systems to those in Honkai Impact regarding characters and rarities. Now, we only hope more characters follow this path and we get to see 5-star versions of some. Tingyun could get this treatment soon due to the recent events that transpired above the Xianzhou.
