Remnant 2: How to Defeat the Root Mantis Tutorial Boss
The Root Mantis is the tutorial boss of Remnant 2, and while it isn’t hard, it requires some strategy. Thankfully, this is one of the few encounters where you’ll get extra help. As you progress through the tutorial, two other characters will join you temporarily and will help you take down certain enemies. For this fight, it is handy to have them at your side, and this is the strategy we recommend:
- Wait for the NPCs to aggro the boss
- Stay in a corner and shoot at the Root Mantis’ glowing spot (weak spot)
- Dodge its lunge attacks and run away from it to reposition
- Rinse and repeat
