You can plea for help in DMZ when you get KIA. This will restore your character, allowing you to continue your expedition even if other operators loot your equipment. When you plea for help, other players on the map will be notified. If they’re kind enough, they’ll pick you up when they get to you. But how does this mechanism work in DMZ? A recent update in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded has nerfed how you can revive other players in DMZ. Let’s find out all about this action and its changes in the DMZ mode.

When you are dead in the DMZ mode, wait for a few seconds, and then you can hold the down button of the d-pad on your controller, or F on your keyboard to initiate the helping request sequence. This will send a message to all of the other operators nearby. Other players can just get to you and press the interaction button beside your dead body to bring you back to life!

However, after the Season 4 Reloaded update, this system has some new changes. Now if you die by another squad in the game, they can not revive you. This means that you can only be revived by the other players on the map who weren’t in conflict with you in DMZ. This also applies to all the squad members of you and the opposing team, meaning none of the attacking squad members can revive the players they killed.

The developers are seemingly trying to prevent six-man squads from forming early in the game. Many players try to always kill the enemy operators and wait for them to plea for help in DMZ. Then they just revive the players, making them join their squad. This functionality is no longer in the game for now. And still, even if other players respond to your help request, you will not join them as soon as you get back up. Instead, you’ll get a 30 seconds invincibility, which you can either use to escape and leave the other team behind or just accept their join request if they sent one.

However, if other players don’t respond to your plea for help request in the DMZ mode, you’ll be eliminated from the game. Also, if you have an active teammate nearby, you will need to wait for a few moments to send a help request to other players. After you do that, your teammate won’t be able to revive you anymore.
