Having the best build for a character like the Swordsman in Halls of Torment can make a massive difference to your gameplay. Halls of Torment is generally a relatively tricky game. If you’re not overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies continuously pursuing you, then you’ve already figured it out. Though, if you still need to, there are specific builds that can help you progress through the game more quickly. Today, we’ll be talking about the Swordsman character. Keep reading to learn more about the best Swordsman build in Halls of Torment.
The Swordsman is the first character you will play in Halls of Torment and arguably one of the least exciting characters. However boring the unit may be, you still have to use it to unlock some of the other available characters. Let’s look at some ways you can increase the damage output and overall usefulness of the Swordsman with the best build possible in Halls of Torment.
Best Swordsman Build Traits and Abilities
Since the Swordsman character primarily uses melee attacks, some traits are better than others.
- First, prioritize Attack Speed. The Swordsman is pretty slow when you first start, so upping his Attack Speed is a must.
- If you add in Damage, then you’ve already got an annihilation machine!
- Aside from those two traits, it’s great to increase Range and Cone Size as well.
- When all else fails, and you get horrible trait rolls, dump some levels into Health Regeneration as well.
When it comes to abilities, there aren’t many to choose from. However, out of the few available, three work best for the Swordsman character in Halls of Torment. We suggest getting Ring Blades as often as you can. If it isn’t available, then you can settle for Transfixion or Phantom Needles. Not only does Ring Blades offer a ranged attack aside from your main weapon, but it’s also constant and can be leveled up drastically.
