Patrick Bateman is undoubtedly one of the most iconic cult-favorite characters in popular culture, so it isn’t a surprise that there are rumors flying around about him potentially becoming a Fortnite skin. These rumors state that there is a Fortnite/Patrick Bateman collaboration on the way, but is this true, or is it just another piece of unconfirmed speculation making the rounds? Let’s explore whether Patrick will be in Fortnite or not.
Will Patrick Bateman Become a Fortnite Skin?
No, Patrick Bateman is not coming to Fortnite. These rumors circulating on the internet started on Reddit. It all began when @Fortnuter36 turned Bateman into a Fortnite skin and posted it to the /FortNiteBR community. Many Reddit users had fun with it, spouting American Psycho jokes like “Let’s see Paul Allen’s skin.” While the skin looks impressive, it’s just fan art.
How to Dance Like Patrick Bateman
Even if the Patrick Bateman skin is not on the horizon, you can still impersonate his moves. Patrick Bateman’s dance to Huey Lewis & The News’ “Hip to Be Square” is available in Fortnite. In the game, the emote name is Business Hips, and is sold for 500 V-Bucks. The emote was added in Season 9 and has only appeared in the item shop 20 times since then. The last time the Business Hips emote arrived at the shop was on November 30th, 2022.
The best thing about this emote is that it is Traversal. Thanks to Traversal emotes, you can walk while the emote is playing at the same time. So, after killing your enemy, you can walk off in Patrick Bateman style. The only thing lacking about it is that “Hip to Be Square” does not play.
If you want this emote, you will have to wait for it to come back, so be sure to check the shop often. Thanks to this dance, you can at least have a bit of the spirit of Patrick Bateman in Fortnite.
