Those who like living on the edge in combat but don’t mind a bit of extra protection in Remnant 2 should consider obtaining the Restriction Cord. Crafted by the ancient Vaunnt, the Restriction Cord Ring is a wearable accessory that limits your healing in exchange for damage reduction. More specifically, it “restricts the wearer from Healing above 50% of their Max Health and reduces all incoming damage by 10%.” To the regular eye, such a costly buff sounds like a bad investment, but those interested in inventive builds will definitely seek this Ring.

To find the Restriction Cord, you must gain access to Yaesha, the overgrown jungle-esque world where you’ll face enemies like the Corrupted Ravager or Mantagora. The location of this Ring might be different for you, but we have always found it in The Forbidden Grove, based on three rerolls we performed during our playthrough. The reason is that this area was always where we encountered an NPC merchant by the name of Bedel of The Vaunnt.

Luckily, Bedel of The Vaunnt shouldn’t be very far from the starting area of The Forbidden Grove. In fact, we always found him down the linear walkway directly connected to the portal’s spawn point. Speak to Bedel, and he will task you with hunting down the Corrupted Ravager. After exhausting his dialogue, you can access his shop to purchase the Restriction Cord in Remnant 2. In our playthrough, the Ring cost 500 Scrap, which is pocket change after a dozen or so hours in.

As noted above, the passive debuff from the Restriction Cord in Remnant 2 is not as impractical as it might seem. Combining this accessory with the Death’s Embrace Amulet and Rock of Anguish will make you a speed demon with bonus damage output. You can double down on the max health reduction’s “benefit” with the Rings: Hardened Coil and Rusted Heirloom. These two will ensure you can tank hits that would have otherwise spelled your demise at less than 50% of your max HP.

For reference, YouTuber AK STYLE GAMER also encountered Bedel, the merchant in The Forbidden Grove of Yaesha:
