Genshin Impact has officially revealed several new playable characters in the game’s upcoming arc set in Fontaine. In the video Overture Teaser: The Final Feast, HoYoverse gave a sneak peek of Wriothesley, a character who seems to be tied to the Hydro nation’s justice system, along with Judge Neuvillette, as the one in charge of the prison. While that information is great for those who love the game’s lore, recent leaks point to the possible element and weapon that Wriothesley might use in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Leaks Reveal Wriothesley Could be a Cryo/Catalyst User
Initially, players mentioned a resemblance to Sampo in Honkai Star Rail, and we can see why. The overall design is quite similar to that of the Underworld’s #1 con artist. Yet, with recent information, it becomes very clear that they are very different. Wriothesley works to keep the prisoners of Fontaine at bay, which is why the leaks regarding his weapon and element in Genshin Impact could make sense. Yet, we’ll have to wait for the official character reveal to learn more about him.
Other leaks also point to Wriothesley being a 5-star character that will appear along with Neuvillette. Banners for both might show up during the 1.2 version. This would make a lot of sense due to Neuvillette being in charge of Fontaine’s justice system and Wriothesley preventing the prisoners from escaping.

If Wriothesley is the next Cryo Catalyst user of Fontaine in Genshin Impact, according to leaks, he will be a good addition to many team comps. Players have been craving more Cryo Catalyst users, and while Charlotte might be the first, everyone would love a 5-star character with this element and weapon to join the roster. Hopefully, HoYoverse won’t take long to reveal more details about these characters the developers have already shown.
