A new trailer showcasing features from the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC reveals that a number of starters from earlier generations, along with their evolutions, will be appearing. The trailer makes a number of other exciting reveals concerning Paradox Pokemon and even some new moves.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet didn’t launch to the most pleasant reception from both new and old fans alike. The messy visuals combined with a large number of oftentimes game-breaking bugs severely bogged down an experience that otherwise could have been one of the most groundbreaking the series has seen in some time. Game Freak hasn’t thrown in the towel on Scarlet and Violet, though, and the upcoming DLC promises to bring a load of new additions to the game that will make it feel more complete. One of those additions was recently revealed to be starter Pokemon from many older generations.

The latest trailer specifically focusing on the second of Scarlet and Violet‘s two DLCs, The Indigo Disk, starts off by showing all of the starter Pokemon from past generations, from Kanto to Galar. It is confirmed that each one, along with all of their evolutions, will become available within The Indigo Disk. This is especially great for players who like the play with the starters as some, like Snivy and Litten, haven’t been available since the National Dex was removed from the main series games beginning with the jump to the Switch.

The video also showcases a number of other exciting details coming to The Indigo Disk, like the mysterious new Tera Type that appears to combine every Type into one. The trailer only briefly showcases this, and it’s unknown exactly how this will play out in a battle. Some fans are already speculating that it may have something to do with the new Legendary Pokemon, Terapagos, since one of its forms has symbols for every type on its shell. The trailer also gives more details about the two new Paradox Pokemon that were revealed in the last Scarlet and Violet DLC trailer, Raging Bolt and Iron Crown. The Pokemon are clearly Paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion, and their types are Electric/Dragon and Steel/Psychic, respectively. The fact that there are Paradox forms of both Cobalion and Virizion now begs for a Terrakion Paradox form as well, which will hopefully be revealed at some point in the future.

The first Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Teal Mask, will be released on September 13th.
