At the start of Act Three in Baldur’s Gate 3, an unexpected guest appears and asks for your help. This is none other than the little red-head girl Yenna and her cat Grub. Yenna tells a heartbreaking story that her mother disappeared some time ago and she needs a roof over her head. She’ll be frightened away before you can answer her, but soon she’ll cross paths with your camp again. When she returns, will you accept this poor and needy girl under your protection? So, let’s find out if you should let Yenna stay with you or not in BG3.
Should You Let Yenna Stay In Your Camp in BG3?
(Updated on October 4, 2024 – updated links and format)
When Yenna returns to your camp, she will tell you that she has no gold for food and is vulnerable. This little girl will ask to live with you and serve as a cook in your camp. She can be of great help to you with the cooking skill she learned from her mother. Most importantly, by accepting Yenna into the camp, you may prevent her from dying. Moreover, Yenna and her lovely cat may cheer up the tense environment of your base.
But are there any reasons not to accept Yenna into the camp? While accepting Yenna into the camp may be easy, some will not welcome your decision. Astarion will surely snarl and tell you that he doesn’t want anyone else to rummage your camp. If you wish to keep this sassy vampire happy, you shouldn’t let Yenna stay. Everyone will welcome Yenna except Astarion, but it’s Astarion, after all, right?
You will have a bigger reason not to take Yenna to the camp. But we can’t tell what’s next without spoilers. So be warned you will be spoiled on this questline moving forward.
Evil in Disguise or Just a Little Girl?
In Act 3, you will be told that your camp has an imposter. It can be one of your companions or someone else. This imposter is none other than Orin the Red, who can shapeshift. Yenna could be the imposter in question, as this coincided with Yenna’s entry into the camp. Could this innocent and harmless girl really be a sneaky imposter trying to sneak into your camp? Should you really keep Yenna in your camp after all this in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Worry not, Yenna is just a girl who needs help. Once you take her in, she will be there throughout the story and cause no harm. Deciding that must be extremely difficult in Baldur’s Gate 3, full of intrigue and deceit. Though how dangerous can a little girl be?
