Like the Sausage, the Beetle in HoloCure is one of the unique items available in the game. This item can be used to massively increase the damage done by an Idol Character Skill. When leveled up to its max level, it will buff any Character Skill attacks up to 100%, dealing twice as much damage as usual. With that in mind, you will want to own the Beetle to increase your chance of surviving any stage that you find hard to beat. But how can you unlock this item?

To unlock the Beetle item, you need to clear a HoloCure stage without having a Character Skill. Pulling this off should also unlock the Skill Issue Achievement at the same time. An Idol will get a Character Skill every time their Fandom level is increased. There are four Fandom levels in total, Newcomer, Fan, Oshi, and Gachikoi. Playing without a Character Skill can be done through three different methods:

  1. Turning off the Fandom system, which can be done in the Shop
  2. Use a Hololive character that is still at the Newcomer Fandom level to beat a stage
  3. When Leveling Up, use the Eliminate option to remove any Character Skills that appear

Then just run a Stage Mode using one out of the 38 Vtubers available in the game that you want. In Stage Mode, you have to beat waves of enemies in a stage under a time limit. New enemies and bosses will spawn at different times, adding a twist to each stage run.

Like most other Stat boosting items, the Beetle item in HoloCure can be upgraded up to three levels. For more details, below is the item description for the Beetle and how many buffs you gain per item level:

  • Beetle Level 1: Increase damage of any Character Skill attacks by 33%. For each player level, gain an additional 1% bonus.
  • Beetle Level 2: Increase damage of any Character Skill attacks by 66%. For each player level, gain an additional 1% bonus.
  • Beetle Level 3: Increase damage of any Character Skill attacks by 100%. For each player level, gain an additional 1% bonus.
