Whenever two big and different genres collide, people get wary. We’ve seen some games mixing different types of genres, such as Blasphemous, that work perfectly. However, this time, there’s a possible hidden gem combining two famous genres into one product. Terra Memoria is an upcoming cozy RPG title that just got its first gameplay trailer. In it, we can see a mix of turn-based combat and building mechanics akin to Palia or Disney Dreamlight Valley. While on paper, it sounds weird, the gameplay shows these two systems can work perfectly and might be the new take on the RPG genre we’ve all been waiting for.

TERRA MEMORIA - Gameplay trailer

Terra Memoria is an RPG game featuring cozy building mechanics, six potential playable characters, and an intriguing story, according to its new gameplay trailer. While many might be on the fence about the two genres colliding, the trailer shows they work perfectly due to the game’s setting. With many RPG titles, such as Octopath Traveler and Live a Live, it is quite refreshing to have a game that adds something new to the formula. Still, we’ll have to wait and see how the game plays once it’s out.
