Great news from Comic-Con for Vikings fans; we have a new trailer and a tentative release window.  While it is unfortunate that there is still no solid release date this is a marked improvement as the return of the series has been up in the air for some time now.  When I recently wrote up my piece looking into the potential historicity of many of the shows main characters I was sad to find that I could not end the article with a return date.  At that time it was a bit of a mystery when the rest of season 4 would premiere but now it can triumphantly be proclaimed that Vikings will be returning to little screens everywhere sometime this fall.  Alas, for now we must wait.  In the meantime have a look at this trailer:

I get chills every time I watch it.  This trailer debuted at a cast panel yesterday at Comic-Con which featured Travis Fimmel (Ragnar), Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Clive Standen (Rollo), Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn), Gustaf Skarsgard (Floki) and Michael Hirst (writer/creator).

Never heard of Vikings before?  Do you think that its constant comparison to Game of Thrones is unwarranted?  Do you feel that Vikings is actually the better show?  Let us know about it in the comments section.
