While many gamers know FromSoftware for making Dark Souls and Elden Ring, one of the early franchises it made was a mech combat game called Armored Core in which you can not only fight big other mechs, but customize each component of it such as its arms or legs as well. After the success of the Dark Souls games, and the subgenre of Soulsborne, it seemed Armored Core was forgotten until the new game was announced last year at The Game Awards. Unlike the Souls games, in Armored Core 6 you will have specific missions to complete, and after each mission, your performance will be ranked. If you want to get that shiny S rank, then here are all the requirements for it in Armored Core 6.

How to Get S Rank in Armored Core 6 Missions

Getting the best result possible in a game leads to a feeling of satisfaction that cannot be described. Getting it will truly be hard and require dedication. In the case of Armored Core 6, players can replay the missions they have completed to get the highest rank which, is the S Rank, but to get that they must meet the requirements of an S Rank. by earning enough points that are calculated by various factors. Knowing those factors will help you analyze your gameplay, see what you are doing wrong, and try to improve it and get that shiny S rank.

  • No Checkpoints: The first requirement to get an S rank for a mission is to complete it without using any checkpoints. In other words, you have to finish the mission without dying. So if you died and respawned at the checkpoint, you’ve already lost the S rank and better restart the mission.
  • Special Requirements: Some missions in Armored Core 6 require you to complete a specific side mission or get Combat Logs by defeating certain enemies. When you are replaying a mission, it will be stated in the description that completing a side mission or getting Combat Logs will give you a bonus. It means you have to complete it in order to get enough score for the S rank.
  • Ammunition Management: Each time you complete a mission, at the end it will give you a list of all the costs. One of them is Ammunition Costs. The higher the Ammunition Costs, the more penalty you will get. So managing your ammunition does play a role in getting S rank, but not as much as the next factor.
  • Time Management: Apart from the No Checkpoints rule, the most crucial factor in getting the S Rank in Armored Core 6 is to finish the mission quickly. In certain missions, you can skip combat in certain areas, so make sure you avoid as many combat situations as you can.
  • Damage Penalty: The last important aspect you must be careful of in completing the missions for S Rank is your damage. Similar to ammunitions, you will get a Repair Costs at the end which will reduce your points for how much you’ve taken damage. So the less you take damage, the less the penalty will be, and the more score you have at the end of the missions.

The main thing about getting S Rank is to play it and practice it enough to become the master at that mission. Now that you know which factors play a huge role in getting higher scores, you can analyze your gameplay, and improve the aspect that costs you scores.
