Honkai Star Rail players, get ready because it might be time for d-d-d-duel! According to recent leaks, HoYoverse’s latest game could get a new game similar to Genius Invokation in Genshin Impact. If you’re unaware, HoYoverse’s premium game added a TCG mode not long ago. This mode lets players build decks and battle against many NPCs in the game. There was even a huge event surrounding this mode that many players loved. Now, a leaker claims Honkai Star Rail could get a TCG mode during version 1.4. As always, let’s not be hasty and take this with a grain of salt.

Honkai Star Rail’s TCG Mode Could Launch During Version 1.4

According to recent leaks on Reddit, Honkai Star Rail’s upcoming TCG mode is called Aetherium Wars. In this mode, people collect, and trade Aether Spirts, which are basically cards. It is uncertain how players will collect them or if this will function exactly like Genshin Impact’s TCG mode. We imagine it will, given how HoYoverse is doing its best to share systems between both games. If this mode arrives, players will have another gameplay mechanic that’ll hopefully become permanent, just like in Genshin Impact.

According to the leaks, this TCG mode is planned for Honkai Star Rail 1.4. However, there’s no official confirmation, and a gameplay mechanic this big could take more to arrive. Hopefully, it won’t take long because, while the game’s latest updates brought many events, some players would like something more permanent that isn’t always combat-focused. A TCG mode, while having some fighting per se, doesn’t require you to build a character in a certain way.

Instead, players could enjoy collecting cards and making the best deck out there. It’s also uncertain if the game mode will come with a PvP function, but we hope it does. Honkai Star Rail could benefit from a lighthearted competitive mode between players.
