A good Bethesda game wouldn’t be without any special abilities for the protagonist. Starfield isn’t an exception; it brings its way to Fus-Ro-Dah through space. Starborn Power in Starfield is a mechanic you’ll unlock while progressing through the game’s main story. If you prefer using special abilities to decimate your foes and give you an edge in combat, it is important to follow this guide to unlock this feature as soon as possible. Without further ado, let’s see how Starborn Power works and how to unlock it.

To get Starborn Power in Starfield, you must focus on the “Into the Unknown” quest. This quest will task you with following a scanner anomaly. If you follow this quest, you’ll find a temple that houses the way to unlock this feature. Here are the specific steps you must follow:

  1. Land at the Scanner Anomaly.
  2. Enter the Temple.

  3. Inside the Temple, head to the ring-like device.
  4. Fly toward balls of light to collect them (if the device is spinning, you’re on the right track).
  5. After gathering a few of them, the device will open.
  6. Enter it to unlock your first Starborn Power.

The first Starborn Power you’ll get in Starfield is the Anti-Gravity Field. When active, you’ll notice a blue meter below your HP bar showing how much power you have, something similar to mana in other games. This is the resource you’ll need to cast these abilities.

To find more, you’ll need to scour the galaxy for more Temples and repeat the process. Enter the place, gather the orbs, and unlock a new power.

So, now that you know how to unlock this feature, fire up those thrusters and start exploring the cosmos to find all these skills.

Starfield is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
