Final Fantasy 16 Is Coming To PC With 2 DLC Expansions

Final Fantasy 16 has proven to be one of the best games to drop this year. Its director, Naoki Yoshida, has been vocal about where the series is going in the future, and today has some great news for fans of the series and PC gamers. Final Fantasy 16 is officially getting a PC port, and Square Enix is already working on it. Not only that, Final Fantasy 16 will also be getting two paid DLC expansions.

Yoshida released a video message in which he made both announcements and also confirmed that people who are already enjoying the game can expect some new content as well. The free update for Final Fantasy 16 owners adds some cosmetic items like weapon skins and fixes some of the reported issues as well. The aforementioned content and fixes should be available to everyone as of the announcement.

Although no details have been released regarding the DLC’s release date, nor the PC port for that matter, Yoshida did say that we can expect more details about everything sometime around the end of the year. The only thing we can say for certain is that one of the two DLCs will take place in Valisthea.

Now that the PC port has become official, fans have already started wondering if an Xbox Series S|X version is also a potential possibility. Although Final Fantasy 16 was initially assumed to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, an official ad from Sony showed that this was not the case. Final Fantasy 16 was actually exclusive to Sony for only 6 months, so an Xbox version is not out of the question. The Final Fantasy series has had a presence on Xbox consoles in the past, as the last entry in the franchise had a multiplatform release.
